Apprentice level 5-8 (B Lineman) in Oklahoma for Southern Electric Corporation
About the role
The Apprentice is furthering their proficiency in all training and knowledge of the seven prior steps. They will be doing Journeyman Lineman work and learning the line skills of managing a crew, both in the line work itself and the skills necessary to fulfill the clerical part of the Foreman's responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Can and will act as Foreman (under Foreman supervision) to demonstrate planning and leadership skills.
- Must have a minimum of 8000 logged hours (four years) in the field of Power Line Distribution and/or Transmission.
Requirements
- Completion of courses commonly assigned to step six Apprentices from the T&D Power Skills training website, such as Power Transformers 2, Circuit Breakers 2, Voltage Regulators 2, Capacitors and Reactors, Relays 1 and 2, Control Equipment, High Voltage Terminations, etc.
