About the role
The Apprentice will transition from step two to step three, focusing on energized primary work. They will learn to connect single phase transformers and perform various types of primary line work under direct supervision.

Requirements
A complete set of personal climbing gear must be obtained no later than the end of step two of the apprenticeship. Apprentices must be directly supervised by a Lineman or Foreman during step three primary work.
Qualifications
Apprentices must have completed step two and possess the necessary skills and knowledge to move to step three. They must also be able to perform tasks such as installing primary protective cover, hanging with truck, making connections to transformers, and operating switches.
Skills
Apprentices should have a strong foundation in rigging, overhead distribution systems, service installation, pole framing and guying, setting and replacing poles, safety in overhead line maintenance, multimeter operation and use, using line test equipment, tree trimming, and safe bucket truck operations.
