Responsibilities
- Work on the electroplating shop floor in order to learn required job tasks
- Regularly attend apprenticeship classes held on site
- Manage the activities of the plating parts, including setup and maintenance of the lines, plating and inspection of the parts, and the preparation of parts for shipping
- Strive to keep setup and maintenance time to a minimum
- Maintain job tracking system
- Maintain chemical inventories and properly file orders
- Follow all safety and quality plans
- Study the production schedule and estimate the requirements for completing an order efficiently and effectively
- Rotate, on a weekly basis, from daylight, afternoon and midnight shifts
Qualifications
- Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Technical, mechanical and math ability
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize
- Able to work as part of a team
- Able to work daylight, afternoon, and midnight rotating shifts
- Able to lift 40 lbs., and stand/walk for 8 hours
