About the role
Join a leader in advancing agriculture through innovative science and technology. We seek an Apprentice Electrician to perform electrical and mechanical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting at our production facility. The role is based solely on-site, with an emphasis on safety, skill development, and supporting agricultural innovation.
Responsibilities
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment such as conveyors, HVAC, and process control systems like PLCs and HMIs.
- Learning to read blueprints.
- Diagnosing malfunctions.
- Ensuring safety compliance.
- Working on-site with physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Working in various environmental conditions.
- Rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Basic electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency with testing tools and safety procedures
- Valid US driver’s license
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work physically in diverse conditions
- Preferred: Two-year technical degree or military experience in related fields
- Preferred: Experience with VFDs, PLC systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics
