Apprentice Early Careers and Mentoring Coordinator

£25,328 per annum. Apprenticeship – Level 4, based at Tower of London or Hampton Court Palace.

About the role

Historic Royal Palaces is a team of people who love and look after six of the most wonderful palaces in the world and their magnificent historical gardens. The Early Careers Coordinator and Mentoring Apprentice will support the delivery and development of Historic Royal Palaces’ early careers programmes, including apprenticeships, work experience and mentoring initiatives. Alongside day-to-day coordination responsibilities, the post holder will complete the Level 4 Learning and Skills Mentor apprenticeship standard, developing the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to support and mentor learners in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Early Careers Coordination: support the delivery of apprenticeships, work experience and other early-careers programmes.
• Mentoring and Learner Support: provide guidance and pastoral care to participants.
• Mentoring Programme Coordination: assist in organising and administering mentoring schemes.
• Engagement and Communication: liaise with internal teams, external partners and learners to ensure a positive, inclusive experience.
• Learning and Development: complete the Level 4 Learning and Skills Mentor apprenticeship, applying new knowledge to the role.

Requirements

• You must be 18 years old or over.
• You must not have completed a degree or equivalent level qualification in the UK or elsewhere.
• You must be able to commute to your assigned place of work (Tower of London or Hampton Court Palace).
• You must be able to commit to the full duration of the apprenticeship.
• Awareness of apprenticeship or work-based learning environments (preferably first-hand knowledge of undertaking an apprenticeship recently).
