Apprentice Controls Technician
Description
The position involves supporting customers by programming temperature control systems according to project specifications. You will assist other Technicians in performing installation, warranty, emergency, and maintenance services on installed systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Aid in programming databases for all supported systems to meet specified sequences of operation and equipment manufacturer recommendations, in accordance with LONG standards and contract documents.
- Help control Technicians perform calibration and check-out of control systems and ensure that specified sequence of operations and commissioning obligations are met.
- Assist the graphics coordination and/or provide the labor and expertise for the preparation and delivery of graphical user interfaces when required for projects in accordance with LONG standards and contract documents.
- Provide information to update drawings and keep records of equipment for as-built documentation (submit all redlined drafting to application engineers).
- Enroll in and stay current in the ASP Building Automation Technician Program.

Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills in solving software and integration challenges.
- Ability to interpret mechanical plans and specifications.
- Some working knowledge of heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems, control systems, building automation, electrical systems, energy management, engineering, installation, and construction procedures.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and willingness to accept responsibility and accountability.
- Strong customer service and analytical skills.
- Ability to interact with all levels of personnel to include department managers, project managers, engineers, sales, and controls technicians.
- Ability to legally drive a company vehicle.
- Aptitude for computer systems or mechanical systems.
- Basic programming and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Already enrolled in the ASP program.
- 1+ years of tech school.
