About the role
The primary purpose of the Blow Mold Process Technician Apprentice is to start at a very entry-level of a technical skilled position that will focus on maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and changing over our machinery and equipment. This position will work directly with a highly skilled Mentor to learn the specific Injection / Injection Blow Molding Process duties through on-the-job learning, along with related instruction through a classroom or online training platform. An Apprentice will work with and follow all safety guidelines, while learning about our plastics packaging industry, and the high quality expectations of manufacturing our products.
Responsibilities
- Actively puts safety first in all responsibilities promoting Amcor’s safety culture.
- Participates in On-The-Job-Training alongside an assigned Mentor.
- Attends Related Instruction hours through various resource options (i.e. classroom or online).
- Gains an understanding of, follow and promote all Quality policies and guidelines.
- Thoroughly completes all assigned duties.
- Assists with good housekeeping throughout the work location.
Qualifications
- Requires a minimum of high school diploma or equivalent GED, or enrolled in a school to work program.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrates good mathematical knowledge.
- Proficient computer skills using MS Office and email.
- Knowledge and ability to use hand and power tools.
- Excellent attendance and participation.
