What Might a Typical Day in this Job Look Like?
- Learn all aspects of vehicle repair and maintenance, including vehicle servicing, MOT preparation, removal, replacement and overhaul of major components and electrical fault diagnostics.
- Support the maintenance and repair of electric and hybrid vehicles.
- Learn how to carry out vehicle inspections and servicing.
- Assist with diagnostics and fault finding.
- Work with experienced technicians in a modern workshop environment.
- Follow safe working practices, especially around EV systems.
- Contribute to workplace good housekeeping.
- Ensure your own actions reduce risks to health and safety.
What Will I Learn?
- Industry-recognised Autocare level 2 and motor vehicle technician standard.
- Hands-on experience with EV technology and diagnostics.
- Skills in vehicle maintenance, repair, and inspection.
Qualifications or Qualities Required
- GCSE Level 4 or above in Maths and English.
Personal Qualities Required
- A genuine interest in cars and electric vehicles.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- You can prioritize and work to timelines.
- A willingness to work in a practical environment using your own initiative.
Hours Work
Monday to Friday
8am – 5pm
