Requirements
- Curriculum vitae
- Writing/work sample – not to exceed 40, double-spaced pages for unpublished work; not to exceed 20, single-spaced pages for published work
- Research proposal – not to exceed 3, double-spaced pages
Qualifications
- Recent Ph.D. graduates in the humanities, arts, sciences, and professions (excluding American Culture, History of Art, Law, and Middle East Studies)
- Completed Ph.D. (or comparable professional or artistic) degree between June 1, 2023, and August 30, 2026
- Not eligible if the candidate received their terminal degree from the University of Michigan
- Non-US citizens may apply and will be considered
- $63,000 annual stipend
- Fellows are eligible for participation in the University’s health, dental, and life insurance programs
- $3,000 research assistance each year
