About the role

The Applicator/Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining spray equipment according to specifications, blending chemicals per label instructions, and assisting with agronomy operations while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Operate machinery and equipment, including skid loaders, tractor/mowers, forklifts, and applicator equipment, to execute processes such as unloading and delivering product accurately and efficiently.
  • Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment to troubleshoot, perform light maintenance, and complete repair work.
  • Blend crop protection products per label instructions, read maps, follow directions, and operate equipment with computer-assisted operations.
  • Interact regularly with customers, peers, and management to provide exceptional customer service, promote continuous improvement, and foster a teamwork-focused environment.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Agronomy teams regarding field scouting and chemical mix recommendations.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, requirements, policies, and procedures, including OSHA, vehicle policy, fleet safety program, and DOT regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Diploma/GED or 0-1 year of related experience; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain a CDL.
  • Commercial Applicator License or ability to obtain one.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • English proficiency.
  • Ability to perform physical job duties, including bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., while using personal protective equipment (PPE), including a respirator.
  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above) and confined spaces.
  • Ability to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, or different shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CDL.
  • Experience running applicator equipment.

  • Operation and maintenance of spray equipment and agricultural machinery.
