As we grow, we're looking for an Applications & Testing Specialist who can take ownership, thrive on independence, and take pride in running a clean, high-performing operation.

Responsibilities

  • Keep the Lab Running at Its Best
    • Maintain a clean, organized, customer-ready lab environment.
    • Perform maintenance, repairs, calibrations, and component changeouts on roller mills and lab equipment.
    • Manage inventory of supplies, tools, and spare parts.
  • Turn Materials into Meaningful Insights
    • Run test grinds and application tests on a wide variety of materials.
    • Conduct sampling and quality verification testing.
    • Measure roll corrugations and monitor wear trends to recommend service needs.
  • Own the Testing Process
    • Manage and prioritize the testing schedule to meet customer timelines.
    • Accurately document and organize all test data.
    • Analyze how materials perform and determine optimal machine settings.
    • Deliver clear, actionable test reports with recommendations and operating parameters.
  • Support Customers & Internal Teams
    • Partner with sales and engineering to provide technical insights.
    • Present testing results and recommendations in a clear, understandable manner to customers, sales, engineering, and other internal stakeholders.
    • Contribute to customer conversations with real data and practical recommendations.
    • Occasionally travel to customer sites, industry events, or field locations to support testing, troubleshooting, and application development efforts.

Qualifications

  • A self-starter who takes full ownership of their work.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with equipment.
  • Detail-oriented with solid data tracking and organization skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Flexibility and adaptability to manage changing priorities and respond quickly to customer and business needs.
  • Someone who takes pride in creating a clean, professional workspace.
