About the role
The primary purpose of this position is to design, develop, maintain, enhance, document, and support computer applications for NC DHHS. This includes gathering requirements from users, designing databases and applications, programming, testing applications, implementing applications, training, and supporting users in the use of their applications.

Requirements
- Maintain superior customer relationships across the section
- Understand the business functions and the technology components of the department
- Maintain and develop applications using C#, .NET, Microsoft IIS, SQL and GitHub Agile frameworks like scrum or Kanban
- Have the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into specific software requirements
- Knowledge of general IT architectural principles, technical designs, and specifications
- Ability to learn new software systems and programming languages by studying available references and self-paced training
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with non-technical clients
- Knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services
- Experience using Microsoft Azure DevOps
- Experience using JIRA
Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
- Knowledge of general IT architectural principles, technical designs, and specifications
- Ability to learn new software systems and programming languages by studying available references and self-paced training

Pay
Salary Grade Range: $81,504.00 - $122,256.00
Recruitment Range: $81,504.00 - $115,581.00
Schedule
This role is eligible to be hybrid and requires onsite reporting located within Raleigh, NC.
