Applications Support Manager

Job Summary

The Clinical Application Manager at Essen Health Care supports and maintains the clinical information system and enterprise applications. They collaborate with medical, billing, and operational leaders to standardize, streamline, and optimize clinical workflows.

Responsibilities

• Manage Enterprise Clinical Applications and EMRIT Operations & Implementation
• Interdepartmental IT frameworks, processes, and procedures
• Growth & Expansion
• Acts as a subject matter expert and advocate for the EMR application supported
• Maintains project resources, scope, and timeline
• Provides technical oversight and direction to eClinicalworks onshore/offshore EMR team
• Identifies and accesses user needs to provide effective solutions and support
• Communicates with third-party vendors on business requirements and drives solution closure
• Supports business users with technical issues and engages vendors as necessary
• Ensures clinical workflows are properly developed, tested, and implemented in production
• Develops and documents clinical workflows, configures features and functions in EMR, and supports training
• Manages and supports systems integration with EMR
• Reviews and tests major releases and upgrades, evaluates new functionality, and provides training and support
• Serves as EMR steward and liaison between clinical users, technical teams, and vendors
• Leads monthly EMR meetings with clinical and operations teams
• Drives change by influencing and educating business, IT, and partners
• Affords end-user Tier II support
• Identifies areas of improvement for existing systems and new opportunities
• Frequently travels to support end users with gap analysis, go-live support, post-live refresher, optimization, new hire, and skills-enhancement training

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 2-4 years experience managing and supporting EMR
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 Suite of applications
• Strong communication skills
• Working knowledge of relevant operational and clinical workflows
• eClinicalWorks experience required
• Extensive knowledge in business functions, especially in community health or urgent care or hospital settings
• Strong analytical and sense of urgency
• Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with business users, technical teams, and partners
