Applications Engineering Team Lead – Installation & Construction Services

Job Description

The Applications Engineering Team Lead position will be based out of Zeeco’s Tulsa office. The position will require knowledge of all Zeeco products, with a focus on installation of this equipment. Moderate travel will be required. This position will include both individual contributions, as well as supervisory responsibilities for the Applications Engineering team.

Job Duties

• Analyzes and interprets customer inquiries, including specifications, to develop appropriate scope of work and installation plan for equipment.
• Travels to customer's facilities for site support and details needed for technical review and proposal generation.
• Aids in technical development and risk assessment of customer inquiries.
• Works with personnel to ensure that equipment installation requirements are understood and to establish which portions of the scope can be handled in-house and which portion will be handled by subcontractors.
• Collaborates with outside subcontractors to establish cost estimates for all required portions of the project.
• Determines documents needed for quotation and coordinates their completion.
• Writes, edits, and issues formal quotations to customer.
• Follows up on any written or verbal correspondence with customer during quotation phase.
• Visits with customer’s post-proposal issuance to discuss and negotiate proposal.
• Provides status reports to management on overall proposal status and activities.
• Aids in the creation and modification of sales presentations / documents using Microsoft Office, Excel / PowerPoint / Project / Adobe and all Web based systems.
• Develops detailed turnover packages to turn over project information to the project execution team.
• Serves as a resource for the project execution team, providing technical or commercial guidance throughout the execution of the project.
• Collaborates with management to determine updated skills and tools needed to continue improving performance and knowledge.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned that are appropriate based on skills and experience.

Qualifications

• Education: B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, Chemical or related field) OR B.S. in Construction Management or related field.
• Prior Experience: Working in the combustion industry or related industries. Working for or with Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) companies. Working directly on construction/installation projects.
