About the Role

Responsible for enhancing, supporting, and maintaining applications. Coordinates the analysis and development of new functionality. Builds, tests, and implements new functionality, maintenance changes, and fixes. Reviews and completes scheduled vendor releases and system upgrades. Analyzes, diagnoses, and implements system and process changes. Ensures system changes follow change management procedures and protocols.

Acts as the application subject matter expert (SME) when assigned to project teams. Works with cross-functional teams on system functionality and configuration of new tools. Creates and maintains test scripts. Develops, plans, and executes testing for supported applications. Consistently meets project deadlines and ensures dates are met. Troubleshoots and researches issues impacting systems.

Implements new systems, enhances and/or upgrades existing systems, and optimizes features/functions. Provides education on system functionality and configuration of new tools to increase end-user productivity. Supports mentoring and cross-training across application teams. Provides 24/7 on-call support, monitors queues, event logs, brokers, interfaces with external systems, and performs maintenance as required. Creates reports as needed.

Develops, plans, executes, and maintains test scripts for new installations, projects, and/or system updates. Maintains documentation, service desk routing, and educates key stakeholders on application enhancements and procedures.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant clinical, certification, and/or technical experience
  • High School Diploma (required)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Data Analytics, Information Technology/Systems, or Healthcare (preferred)
  • Background in lab and Epic experience (preferred)
  • Application-specific certification/proficiency within 90 days of hire (if applicable)

Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to effectively translate IT terminology and processes for key stakeholders
