About the role
The Application Support Analyst at Liberty FCU is responsible for configuring and customizing the company’s mortgage loan origination systems, including Encompass. This role requires familiarity with lending practices and loan workflow knowledge, with preference given to candidates with experience in this area.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate business process, data integrity, and compliance issues relating to loan origination systems.
- Maintain cost-effective information technology procedures aligned with business initiatives, corporate strategies, and data security protocols.
- Maintain documentation after implementation.
- Assist with configuration, updating, and setup of application.
- Manage access roles and permissions.
- Interact with business units to capture requirements for LOS operations and enhancements.
- Inform business units on new updates, best practices, and features of the application.
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support and troubleshooting of LOS and integrated programs.
- Proactively recognize issues and resolve or escalate as appropriate.
- Lead communications and coordination of new releases including initial testing post upgrade.
- Work with third-party vendors and services for integrations.
- Aid in creating and updating knowledge base articles and recording issues and their resolutions via the ticketing system.
- Utilize Admin Tools for system configuration and maintenance.
- Work with the training department to provide guidance on new features.
- Interact with business units to capture requirements for LOS operations and enhancements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and/or 5 years of related experience or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years as a processor, underwriter, or other lending operations role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Robust understanding of loan processes from point of sale through servicing and secondary.
- Demonstrated experience determining, developing, testing, and implementing system requirements and specifications.
- Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues effectively.
- Previous experience coding with Visual Basic.NET and/or JavaScript is helpful but not required.
- A willingness to learn will be essential.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and a pleasant service-oriented demeanor are essential to success in this position.
