Job Summary

Serves as subject matter expert for lab applications (Epic required)

Analyzes workflows and implements system improvements

Configures, maintains, and troubleshoots applications

Trains staff and supports ongoing operations

Ensures data integrity and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, CLIA)

Collaborates with IT, Epic, and lab teams

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as subject matter expert for lab applications
  • Analyze workflows and implement system improvements

  • Train staff and support ongoing operations
  • Ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, CLIA)
  • Collaborate with IT, Epic, and lab teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in MLS, Biology, Chemistry, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of laboratory experience
  • Epic proficiency required
  • Relevant ASCP/AMT/AAB certification (MLS, MLT, MT, or specialty certification)

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Biology or Chemistry or equivalent years of experience and education

Experience

  • Two years' technical experience in a laboratory setting

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.
  • Able to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
  • Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
  • Rare climbing.
