About the role

The Application Specialist, Hull is a key member of the Cadmatic team, supporting the deployment, customer success, training, and technical consultation for Cadmatic Hull in the marine industry. This role requires a deep understanding of shipbuilding and structural design, combined with excellent customer service and technical expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and training to help customers adopt and use Cadmatic Hull effectively throughout their projects.
  • Advising customers on hull structure modeling and efficient ways of working with Cadmatic Hull.
  • Solve technical questions and troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Run training sessions both remotely and at customer sites.
  • Participate in the sales process as our technical software expert, giving software demonstrations.
  • Turn customer feedback into clear and actionable input for product development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • A degree in Naval Architecture, Shipbuilding, Mechanical Engineering, or a related Marine Engineering discipline is preferred.
  • 3+ years practical experience in shipbuilding, structural design, engineering, and/or 3D CAD.
  • Strong understanding of the U.S. marine industry.
  • High customer orientation and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills with strong public speaking ability for training and demos.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Basic programming knowledge (for instance C++) is considered a plus.

Qualifications

  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Pay

Annual base salary of $85,000–$100,000 plus a variable bonus, with on-target earnings (OTE) of $102,000–$120,000.

The role requires regular visits to customer premises.
