Application Specialist, Hull
About the role
The Application Specialist, Hull is a key member of the Cadmatic team, supporting the deployment, customer success, training, and technical consultation for Cadmatic Hull in the marine industry. This role requires a deep understanding of shipbuilding and structural design, combined with excellent customer service and technical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and training to help customers adopt and use Cadmatic Hull effectively throughout their projects.
- Advising customers on hull structure modeling and efficient ways of working with Cadmatic Hull.
- Solve technical questions and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Run training sessions both remotely and at customer sites.
- Participate in the sales process as our technical software expert, giving software demonstrations.
- Turn customer feedback into clear and actionable input for product development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- A degree in Naval Architecture, Shipbuilding, Mechanical Engineering, or a related Marine Engineering discipline is preferred.
- 3+ years practical experience in shipbuilding, structural design, engineering, and/or 3D CAD.
- Strong understanding of the U.S. marine industry.
- High customer orientation and proactive problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication skills with strong public speaking ability for training and demos.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
- Basic programming knowledge (for instance C++) is considered a plus.

- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.

Pay
Annual base salary of $85,000–$100,000 plus a variable bonus, with on-target earnings (OTE) of $102,000–$120,000.

The role requires regular visits to customer premises.
