Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for assigned customer accounts and packagers.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term business success.
- Provide technical support for FW Murphy control panel hardware and software solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, wiring, programming, and system integration issues.
- Analyze customer requirements and recommend technical solutions to meet operational needs.
- Make approved software configuration and programming changes that do not require additional hardware or engineering redesign.
- Collaborate with Software Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, and other cross-functional teams to resolve customer concerns and deliver effective solutions.
- Reverse engineer existing control panel systems to diagnose and correct programming, wiring, or configuration issues.
- Provide technical guidance and recommendations to customers regarding system functionality and performance.
- Travel to customer locations as needed to support projects, troubleshoot issues, and strengthen customer relationships.
- Maintain detailed documentation related to customer requests, technical changes, and project activities.
- Support continuous improvement efforts focused on customer satisfaction, product performance, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Engineer Technology, Electrical Technology, Automation, or related field; equivalent work experience may be substituted.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in industrial controls, automation, electrical systems, applications engineering, technical support, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience working with Allen-Bradley and Rockwell Automation hardware and software platforms.
- Experience supporting industrial control panels, PLC-based systems, and customer-specific automation solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills involving electrical, hardware, software, and system integration issues.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong customer relationship management communication skills.
- Able to make sound technical decisions under pressure and within tight customer timelines.
- Able to travel extensively (50- 75% out of office time at customers).
Qualifications
- Experience supporting engine controls, industrial automation, or packaged equipment applications.
- Experience with field commissioning, startup, or customer site support.
- Familiarity with FW Murphy control systems and related product offerings.
