Application Programmer III

About the role

This position supports the Enterprise Capital Management Technology (ECMT) team within Corporate Treasury. The role is part of a technology transformation initiative to build and adopt new capabilities for data ingestion, rules authoring, and analytics. This is a greenfield project focused on designing and developing solutions to replace legacy applications and support critical regulatory programs like Basel IV and FRTB.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of solutions to replace legacy applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries and scripts for data management and analysis.
• Implement and maintain Python or Java/.Net-based applications.
• Analyze data to identify trends and improve regulatory compliance.
• Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and document functional specifications.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of processes and tools.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience, with at least 3+ years in a Business Analyst or Functional Analyst capacity.
• Experience in a delivery-focused, techno-functional role.
• Proficiency in SQL programming, preferably with Oracle Exadata.
• Programming experience with Python or Java/.Net.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of Capital Markets, with a focus on Credit Risk, Market Risk, or Capital calculations.
• Knowledge of capital markets regulations such as Basel, CRR, or CRD IV.
• Attention to detail and the ability to identify risks, issues, and suggest improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand Python code.
• Familiarity with running reports in MicroStrategy.
• Knowledge of Big Data architectures and cloud computing.
• Understanding of machine-learning techniques, classifiers, and statistical methods.
• Effective communication skills.
