Application Programmer III
About the role
This position supports the Enterprise Capital Management Technology (ECMT) team within Corporate Treasury. The role is part of a technology transformation initiative to build and adopt new capabilities for data ingestion, rules authoring, and analytics. This is a greenfield project focused on designing and developing solutions to replace legacy applications and support critical regulatory programs like Basel IV and FRTB.
Responsibilities
- Support the design and development of solutions to replace legacy applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain SQL queries and scripts for data management and analysis.
- Implement and maintain Python or Java/.Net-based applications.
- Analyze data to identify trends and improve regulatory compliance.
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and document functional specifications.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of processes and tools.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience, with at least 3+ years in a Business Analyst or Functional Analyst capacity.
- Experience in a delivery-focused, techno-functional role.
- Proficiency in SQL programming, preferably with Oracle Exadata.
- Programming experience with Python or Java/.Net.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of Capital Markets, with a focus on Credit Risk, Market Risk, or Capital calculations.
- Knowledge of capital markets regulations such as Basel, CRR, or CRD IV.
- Attention to detail and the ability to identify risks, issues, and suggest improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to read and understand Python code.
- Familiarity with running reports in MicroStrategy.
- Knowledge of Big Data architectures and cloud computing.
- Understanding of machine-learning techniques, classifiers, and statistical methods.
- Effective communication skills.
