About the Opportunity

The Application Programmer Analyst role supports administrative systems by delivering technical support, training, and system administration. This position enhances application functionality through programming and configuration, ensuring effective integration and secure access control across enterprise systems. The role contributes to maintaining system reliability and user readiness, enabling the organization to operate efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and functional administration for enterprise applications such as Ellucian Colleague, Atlassian Jira and Confluence, and Salto door access.
  • Design, test, and implement programming and scripting solutions to improve application functionality.
  • Intrgrate applications with enterprise systems following vendor best practices and organizational security policies.
  • Train IT staff and institutional users on proper application use and security.
  • Document system decisions, changes, and customizations.
  • Communicate updates about systems and applications to IT colleagues and institutional personnel promptly.
  • Manage access controls in alignment with the principle of least privilege.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Analytics, or a related analytical discipline.
  • Experience developing and maintaining integrations with enterprise systems, preferably Ellucian Colleague or similar ERP platforms.
  • Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as SQL, PowerShell, or Python.
  • Strong technical, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work productively from a remote location when needed.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to learn independently.
  • Aptitude for information systems design and programming.
  • Effective communication with technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Able to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
  • Able to work off-hours occasionally to support critical systems.
  • Reliable high-speed internet at home.
  • Commitment to the organization’s mission and Christian higher education values.

Pay Range and Compensation Package

Salary range: $60,000 to $70,000 per year.
