About the role

The Programmer Analyst - Application Support is responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing software applications to meet business needs. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, design solutions, and implement changes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software applications using various programming languages and tools.
• Collaborate with project managers, developers, and end-users to gather and analyze requirements.
• Design and implement efficient, scalable, and reliable software solutions.
• Perform unit testing and integration testing to ensure software quality.
• Document software development processes and procedures.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in software development and application support.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, or C#.
• Experience with database management systems like MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience with version control systems like Git.
• Experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Understanding of software development best practices and industry standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills

• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience with software testing frameworks and tools.
