Application Performance Engineer
About the role
We are seeking a highly technical Application Performance Engineering professional to support and expand enterprise-wide observability capabilities. The individual will work closely with development teams, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with development teams, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance.
- Help developers interpret performance issues, investigate production incidents, analyze logs and traces, implement monitoring solutions, and drive proactive observability practices across the organization.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of monitoring solutions using Dynatrace, Elastic, OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, synthetic monitoring, alerting, and root cause analysis.
- Ensure compliance with Microsoft-based environments running primarily within Azure, including servers, storage, virtualization, SQL databases, and unified communications technologies.
Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) + years’ professional relevant experience and Bachelor’s Degree in CS, CIS, or related discipline preferred.
- Minimum one (1) + years of recent and relevant experience in an information systems management role (with direct reports) having responsibility for engineering or support.
- Experience or certification with Dynatrace or Elastic is a must.
- Experience or certification with Microsoft Azure is a plus.
- Experience with Artificial Intelligence is a plus. (Devin AI is even better)
- Deep and proven knowledge and experience in at least two of the following technologies (vendor certifications are preferred): Servers and Storage technologies including Cisco UCS and NetApp or Pure Storage technology stack, Virtualization technologies, including service automation using VMWare and Nutanix, SQL database technology in a larger enterprise environment with complex replication strategies, Unified Communications technologies including web, audio and video conferencing.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100,000.00 - $120,000.00/yr. Comprehensive benefits package including Medical/Dental/Vision Wellness program to support both mental and physical health Generous paid time off for both exempt and non-exempt positions

This is a hybrid position in Irvine,CA.

This is a Permanent position based out of Irvine, CA.
