Application Owner

About the role

You can help the Ministry by ensuring that assigned systems are optimally configured for its use and by supporting end users and administrators. As an Application Owner, you will help maintain the stability, security, and performance of your assigned applications by providing reactive support to subject-matter experts, administrators, and other IT resources.

Responsibilities

• Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him.
• Install, configure, and maintain applications as assigned.
• Maintain expert knowledge of assigned applications and implement application features to meet the needs of ministry areas while also ensuring data security and privacy requirements are met.
• Create and maintain detailed technical and user-facing documentation and profiles of how each ministry area uses the application.
• Ensure that new features and upgrades are effectively tested, communicated, and deployed.
• Provide hands-on support as required and ensure documentation is up-to-date.
• Train help desk members and system administrators to perform tier-one and tier-two support.
• Provide on-call support as needed to ensure system issues do not impact ministry operations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Computer Science and five (5) to seven (7) years of related experience and/or training.
• Expertise in application administration and knowledge of systems analysis, systems development lifecycle, and low-code/no-code development, with proven ability to communicate across technical and business teams while managing vendor partnerships.
• 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, an opportunity to meet and complete the requirement is available upon hire.
