What You'll Do
- Partner Engagement: Collaborate with partners across various departments to gather and prioritize business requirements.
- Conduct regular meetings, workshops, and presentations to ensure alignment between business goals and software development efforts.
- Requirement Prioritization: Prioritize User Stories, Bugs and enhancements, with Application Owner, based on business value, technical feasibility, and strategic objectives.
- Create and maintain a product backlog, ensuring it accurately reflects the most current business priorities.
- Product Development: As a subject matter authority, works closely with development teams, providing clear and concise user stories, acceptance criteria, and guidance throughout the development lifecycle.
- Provides insights and directions to ensure that the final product meets partner expectations.
- Release Planning and Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, developers, and QA teams to plan and coordinate product releases.
- Communicate release schedules, updates, and potential impacts to partners in a timely manner.
- Continuous Improvement: Supervise product performance and capture feedback from partners to identify areas for improvement.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent work experience will also be considered.
- 2+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role, ideally within software development or IT environments.
- Proficient in Agile methodologies and frameworks.
- Proven understanding of Lean Six Sigma, Process Improvement, and Change Management principles to drive process optimization and operational efficiency.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across teams and partner groups.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel); experience with data analytics tools and business information systems is a plus.
- Demonstrates an analytical mentality and the ability to make data-informed decisions while balancing multiple priorities.
- Partners closely with the Application Owner to respond to evolving business needs and shifting priorities.
- Capable of identifying issues, analyzing root causes, and developing effective resolutions in collaboration with business partners.
