About the role

The IT Applications Manager oversees the operational support, maintenance, and development of healthcare business applications including Epic Orders, Bugsy, and ASAP. This role involves working closely with hospital team members to identify, evaluate, select, and implement information technologies that support business plans and IT strategies. The manager acts as a focal point for system-related issues and collaborates with other teams and vendors on changes, fixes, and updates.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the release process for applications, ensuring effective communication across the department and end users.
  • Lead a team of IT specialists responsible for implementing and upgrading system hardware and application software.
  • Manage service delivery and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), guiding incident resolution, problem management, maintenance, and enhancement tickets raised by end users for assigned applications.
  • Stay updated on new developments and trends in application integration within the healthcare industry and maintain a strong understanding of technology.
  • Ensure compliance with Epic certifications and maintain required certifications for the appropriate role.

Requirements

  • Five (5) years’ experience in relevant IT field and three years of leadership experience.
  • Experience with Epic systems and previous experience in the training, build, and/or support of the Epic electronic health record suite is preferred.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or Engineering from an accredited program, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or Engineering from an accredited program, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
