About the role

The Switchboard / RMU Subject Matter Expert (SME) serves as the technical authority for low- and medium-voltage switchboards, switchgear lineups, and Ring Main Unit (RMU) systems integrated into Integra Mission Critical’s modular power platforms.

Responsibilities

As the enterprise-level technical expert, you will:

  • Serve as technical expert for low-voltage switchboards and switchgear, medium-voltage switchgear and distribution, Ring Main Units (RMUs), bus systems, and distribution assemblies
  • Develop and maintain electrical distribution design standards and specifications
  • Define standard breaker configurations, bus ratings, fault duty requirements, and redundancy strategies
  • Establish arc-flash mitigation and protection coordination standards
  • Ensure alignment with NEC, UL 891, UL 1558, IEEE, and applicable medium-voltage standards
  • Partner with Product Engineering to standardize switchboard and RMU platforms for modular deployment
  • Define scalable configurations that support rapid manufacturing and repeatable installation
  • Review and approve equipment layouts, bus bracing, compartmentalization, and accessibility considerations
  • Support value engineering initiatives while maintaining system reliability and compliance

Qualifications

Required qualifications include:

  • 10+ years of experience in switchgear, switchboard, or medium-voltage distribution system design
  • Strong background in protection coordination and power system analysis
  • Experience supporting energization and commissioning in mission-critical or industrial environments
  • Deep knowledge of NEC and relevant UL/IEEE standards

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • Experience in data centers, utility interconnection, healthcare, or industrial facilities
  • Experience with modular or prefabricated power infrastructure
  • Familiarity with digital relays and power monitoring systems
