About the role
SensoPart develops industry-leading vision sensors and optical sensor solutions for smarter manufacturing in automotive, robotics, assembly, and intralogistics industries. The Application Engineer works closely with customers and their engineering teams to develop innovative solutions for challenging applications.
Responsibilities
- evaluate customer applications and conduct feasibility studies using SensoPart vision systems and sensor technologies
- develop and validate technical solutions for integration into PLC- and robot-controlled environments
- support customers during implementation and commissioning
- troubleshoot applications both remotely and on-site
- deliver technical training and product demonstrations to customers and distributors
- build trade show demo systems and support technical marketing initiatives
- collaborate closely with our engineering team in Germany on complex technical topics
Requirements
- Bachelor’s / Masters's degree in Engineering or related technical field
- extensive experience in factory automation or similar environments
- hands-on experience with PLC and/or robot programming
- strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- ability to work independently in customer-facing technical situations
- clear communication skills and a structured working style
- willingness to travel 20–30%
Qualifications
- valid U.S. driver’s license
