About the role

Year Up United is a one-year or less, intensive job training program designed for young adults. It offers:

  • In-classroom skill development
  • Access to internships and/or job placement services
  • Personalized coaching and mentorship
  • An educational stipend

Responsibilities

Participants in Year Up United will:

  • Receive technical and professional training
  • Gain access to internships and job placement support
  • Earn an educational stipend of $525 per week during the internship phase

Requirements

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be a high school graduate or GED recipient
  • Be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Be available Monday-Friday throughout the duration of the program
  • Be highly motivated to learn technical and professional skills
  • Not have obtained a Bachelor’s degree

Graduates of Year Up United are expected to:

  • Develop professional business and communication skills
  • Build interviewing and networking skills
  • Build resumes
  • Benefit from ongoing support and guidance to launch their careers

Benefits

During the internship phase, Year Up United students earn an educational stipend of $525 per week. Graduates are also expected to:

  • Be employed and/or enrolled in postsecondary education within 4 months of graduation
  • Average starting salaries of $55,000 per year

Pay

Students earn an educational stipend of $525 per week during the internship phase.

Schedule

The program runs Monday through Friday throughout the duration of the one-year program.
