About the role
As a ServiceNow Developer at QTS Data Centers, you will play a key part in configuring, customizing, and extending the ServiceNow platform to meet the ever-evolving needs of our business. You will collaborate closely with various departments to understand their challenges and develop innovative solutions that streamline workflows and improve efficiency. This role is hands-on and requires senior-level expertise within the ServiceNow team. You will deliver new code and application configurations within a formalized Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), foster mature code development and release practices, and build a strong CI/CD pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement custom applications and workflows on the ServiceNow platform.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and ensure solutions align with business needs.
- Configure and customize existing ServiceNow modules to optimize functionality.
- Integrate ServiceNow with third-party applications to create a unified IT ecosystem.
- Develop and maintain high-quality, secure, and well-documented code.
- Conduct thorough testing to ensure the functionality and performance of ServiceNow applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the ServiceNow platform.
- Perform upkeep on existing solutions (e.g., business rules, UI policies, client scripts, ACLs, workflows, dashboard & reporting, data imports, service catalog development, etc.).
- Stay up to date on the latest ServiceNow features and functionalities.
- Provide training and support to end-users on ServiceNow applications.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a ServiceNow developer (minimum 5 years).
- Strong understanding of the ServiceNow platform, including ServiceNow Development Studio and scripting languages (GlideScript, UI Script).
- Experience with ServiceNow modules (e.g., Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Integration Hub).
- Experience with Service Catalog.
- Experience with web development technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Proven experience in Integration Hub and REST API.
- Expert in SDLC.
- Certified ServiceNow Administrator.
Preferred Qualifications
- One or more years of experience working in a data center environment or other relevant critical process environment.
- Experience with other ServiceNow modules such as Customer Experience, ITOM, CMDB, Security Operations, Customer Service Management.
- ITIL v3/v4 certification.
- Certified ServiceNow Application Developer.
- CSM or Agile certification.
