Application Developer- Full Stack (SME)

About the role

Nightwing is seeking a Full Stack Web Application Developer SME in Herndon, VA to join a team working on a suite of services that will automate enterprise-wide applications and data-centric mission management applications.

Responsibilities

• Integrate AI/ML technology into a production web application.
• Design, develop, and unit test code for a production system and demonstration capabilities.
• Develop rapid prototypes to drive out requirements and design.
• Provide demonstrations and detailed walkthroughs of features to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences.
• Communicate with project team members, user community, and leadership to assess changes and demonstrate iterative progress.
• Optimize and enhance application performance, ensuring scalability and security.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience on Agile software development teams following Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
• Minimum 8-10 years building web applications and UX/UI frameworks using Angular, React, or JavaScript with specific examples.
• Java Spring framework is a plus.
• Minimum 6-8 years working in Linux Operating system.
• Minimum 4-6 years of demonstrated experience with development and deployment of applications in the Commercial Cloud Services (C2S) environment or an Amazon Web Services cloud environment.
• Minimum 2-3 years of demonstrated experience with search & analytic tools.
• Minimum 2-3 years of demonstrated (Extract, Transform, Load - ETL) with large structured and unstructured raw data sets.
• Minimum 2-4 years of demonstrated ability to design, develop, test and implement new applications based on project requirements.
• The ability to work individually as well as the ability to work in project teams.
• Minimum 6-8 years of demonstrated ability in microservices up to and including docker, podman, and/or containerization services.
• Minimum 4-6 years in Object Oriented programming. Python is preferred software development language, but would consider Java, JavaScript, C#, SQL, Etc.

Desired

• Demonstrated experience with text analytics and its applications/role/use in business intelligence/business analytics (i.e. search, entity extraction, sentiment analysis, document summarization, document categorization).
• Demonstrated experience developing proof of concepts of new technologies and evaluating the state of the art in machine learning algorithms for text analytics.
• Demonstrated experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, Keras, Tensorflow.
• Demonstrated experience with data visualization tools (i.e. Tableau, Pandas, D3.js, ggplot, etc).
• Demonstrated experience with Relational or Non-Relational data stores such as MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, or DynamoDB.
• Demonstrated experience using Natural Language Processing tools such as spaCy, NLTK, Stanford CoreNLP, or Gensim Natural Language Processing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, or other relevant field and minimum of six years of experience (Master’s degree equates to an additional 2 years of relevant work experience).
• TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
