About the role

The Application Analyst II has intermediate to advanced knowledge of each appropriate application and serves as a bridge between vendors, end users, and team members. The Analyst II conducts regular day-to-day communication with internal teams, application vendors, clinical and business representatives, as well as subject matter experts to tailor the different system(s) to fit the organization's needs. He/She assists in performing in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with the use of different applications as needed. The Analyst II is a support contact and works with other members of the team in coordinating efforts and status updates with end users and operational stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a bridge between vendors, end users, and team members for application support and customization.
  • Conduct day-to-day communication with internal teams, vendors, clinical and business representatives, and subject matter experts.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and technical issues related to applications.
  • Support and coordinate efforts with end users and operational stakeholders.
  • Design and execute software solutions to solve business or clinical problems.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule with other members of the Epic team.
  • Travel out of state for education purposes and within the SRHS service area as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, mathematics, a clinically related field, or equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Current certifications in Epic applications; must maintain Epic certification(s) including completion of required training.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in developing, implementing, operating, or maintaining information systems in an integrated healthcare delivery system, including hospitals and/or clinic settings.
  • Previous installation experience with healthcare systems databases and interfaces in hospitals/clinic settings or with a healthcare system vendor.
  • Managed project management or project execution experience on small to medium projects.
  • Intermediate knowledge of various computer software applications (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Valid driver’s license as job may require travel throughout the SRHS service area.

  • Combination of intermediate to complex analytical, clinical, financial, and administrative abilities.

Physical Demands

  • Moderately sedentary work: involves sitting with regular movement about the office, facility, and travel within the SRHS service area.
  • Exerting negligible force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects, including the human body.
  • Repetitive motions: substantial movements of wrists, hands, and/or fingers while operating office equipment.
  • Ability to perceive sound at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
  • Close visual acuity to shift focus between computer monitors and printed materials.
  • Ability to remain active for extended periods without undue fatigue.
  • Flexible work hours and participation in a rotating on-call schedule.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM CST.

Location

Remote in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, or on-site at Singing River Pascagoula Hospital.
