Appliance Repair Technician

About the role

As an Appliance Repair Technician, you are the key component in providing excellent customer service by delivering high-quality maintenance services for our customers’ appliances. You’ll enjoy a solid work-life balance with no nights or weekends, ongoing training, and a fun team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair home appliances and equipment.
  • Provide cost estimates for repairs.
  • Effectively communicate with the customer to ensure they understand the services needed.
  • Order parts and ensure efficient use of company materials.
  • Collect payment for work performed and leave customer with your contact information.
  • Represent Mr. Appliance positively by being courteous, clean, and punctual to retain customers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Previous professional appliance repair service experience.

Skills

  • Exceptional Customer Service: Deliver a great customer experience, showing empathy and accurately diagnosing and solving problems.
  • Problem-Solving: Help customers understand what needs to be done to resolve their issues quickly and prevent future problems.
  • Quality of Work: Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to ensure repairs are done correctly the first time.
  • Efficiency: Manage time effectively to complete repairs and respond to all customer needs for the day.
  • Punctuality and Reliability: Be available and show up on time to deliver a great experience for customers.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and complete customer information and reports accurately.
  • Ongoing Training: Stay updated on new appliances and features through regular training and research.

Pay

Potential to earn $50,000 to $80,000 per year depending on experience and abilities, plus bonuses and incentive pay.
