Responsibilities

• Design and develop Appian solutions, including end-to-end process automation using Appian and other intelligent automation technologies.
• Perform code reviews for Appian developers.
• Conduct root cause analysis for Appian outages and restore services in the event of an outage.
• Develop Appian-based solutions using all object types available in Appian.
• Integrate with external applications using REST and SOAP-based APIs.
• Develop and update Appian plugins (Java) and address security vulnerabilities.
• Review application performance and suggest improvements.
• Review environment performance, provide recommendations on sizing, and identify resource needs prior to bottlenecks.

Requirements

• Appian Certified Senior Developer with 3+ years of hands-on Appian development experience in senior/lead roles supporting production applications.
• 1+ years of experience developing Appian plugins and 1 year managing an on-premise Appian production environment.
• 2+ years of experience configuring and debugging Appian interfaces, reports, underlying logic, and system integrations.
• 2+ years of experience with relational databases and SQL scripting supporting large-scale, business-critical systems.
• 2+ years of experience designing and implementing SOAP and REST APIs, with a strong understanding of broader technology ecosystems and Agile SDLC practices (3+ years).
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Federal & Technical Architecture Experience: 2+ years supporting software development projects in a Federal environment, with experience defining and documenting architectures across multiple architectural views.
• Technical Development & Infrastructure: 1 year of Java experience, familiarity with Appian for Kubernetes, NoSQL databases, cloud resource management, and application performance optimization.
• Professional & Interpersonal Skills: Strong analytical and technical abilities paired with excellent written/verbal communication and collaborative teamwork/facilitation skills.

Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree
