Apparel Operations Lead

About the role

The Lead at DICK’S Sporting Goods plays a critical role in executing brand standards and enhancing the teammate experience. They are responsible for leading by example, fostering a positive culture, and ensuring that all employees adhere to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Delivers exceptional service to customers and provides direction to teammates.
• Observes in-store interviews and department tours to support building and hiring a strong team.
• Builds a people-first culture by connecting with every teammate and contributing to the store's recognition culture.
• Plans and organizes the store's operations 30 days out, aligning on necessary workforce and executing daily assignments, game plans, projects, or store events.
• Leverages teammates to ensure brand standards are met, programs and processes are executed daily, and tasks are delegated based on priority.
• Maintains confidentiality of all Company information and supports the team across the store during all shifts.
• Assists with training teammates on company procedures and programs, including onboarding new employees and cross-training current employees.
• Leads by example to support the organization's vision and helps teammates understand how their responsibilities align with the common purpose and delivering an exceptional shopping experience.
• Maintains an inclusive store environment where everyone feels welcome and safe and is treated with respect.
• Adheres to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Prior retail sales experience (or customer-focused experience) preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 35 lbs. items repetitively (up to 25 times per hour).
• Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
• Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet with the use of a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).

Qualifications

• Targeted Pay Range: $20.00 - $28.00.
• Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience, and position offered.
