Apparel Operations Lead

About the role

The Lead at DICK’S Sporting Goods plays a critical role in ensuring brand standards are met and teammates receive the best possible service. They are responsible for leading by example, fostering a positive team culture, and supporting the overall success of the store.

Responsibilities

• Delivers the best service to customers and provides direction to teammates
• Observes in-store interviews and department tours to support building and hiring a strong team
• Builds a people-first culture by connecting with every teammate and contributing to the store's recognition culture
• Plans, organizes, and controls the store's operations 30 days out, including setting up daily assignments, game plans, projects, or store events
• Leverages teammates to ensure brand standards are met, programs and processes are executed daily, and tasks are delegated based on priority level
• Maintains confidentiality of all Company information and supports the team across the store during all shifts
• Assists with training teammates on company procedures and programs, including onboarding new teammates and cross-training current teammates
• Leads by example to support the vision of the organization and store, helping teammates understand how their responsibilities align with the common purpose and delivering an exceptional shopping experience
• Maintains an inclusive store environment where everyone feels welcome and safe and is treated with respect
• Adheres to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures
• Performs other tasks as assigned by management

Requirements

• Flexible availability - including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Prior retail sales experience (or customer-focused experience) preferred
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 15 to 35 lbs. items repetitively (up to 25 times per hour)
• Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking
• Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet with use of a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously)

Qualifications

• Targeted Pay Range: $20.00 - $28.00
• Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience, and position offered
