About the role

The Lead at DICK’S Sporting Goods plays a crucial role in ensuring brand standards are met and teammates receive excellent service. They are responsible for leading by example, fostering a positive team culture, and supporting the overall success of the store.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers the best service to customers and provides direction to teammates.
  • Leverages teammates to ensure brand standards are met and programs/processes are executed daily.
  • Plans and organizes the store's operations 30 days out, including building an effective approach and aligning on necessary workforce.
  • Assists in building and hiring a strong team by observing in-store interviews and department tours.
  • Supports the store leadership team with general supervision, adhering to Company policies and procedures.
  • Trains teammates on company procedures and programs, including onboarding new teammates and cross-training current ones.
  • Coaches and develops oneself and others, teaching the "why" behind tasks, plans, and processes.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all Company information and supports the team across the store.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Prior retail sales experience (or customer-focused experience) preferred.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 35 lbs. items repetitively (up to 25 times per hour).
  • Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
  • Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet with the use of a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).

Qualifications

Pay

Targeted Pay Range: $18.00 - $26.00. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience, and position offered.

Schedule

Flexible schedule to accommodate shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
