Responsibilities

• Successfully completed checker training
• Handle stressful situations effectively
• Communicate clearly with customers and colleagues
• Perform basic math operations (counting, addition, subtraction)
• Maintain a safe and clean environment
• Engage and assist customers
• Process customer transactions quickly and accurately
• Observe and follow shift operating hours
• Handle various tender types and perform checkout procedures
• Record sales and adhere to cash handling procedures
• Understand and comply with company policies on restricted items and safety
• Report pricing discrepancies and safety concerns
• Stay updated with store promotions and offer relevant information to customers
• Keep checkout area clean
• Comply with safety procedures and report incidents
• Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, as well as company guidelines

Requirements

• Minimum age of 18
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Customer service experience
• Desired: High school diploma or equivalent, second language skills (speaking, reading, writing)
• Ability to meet physical demands of the position
