Responsibilities
- Deliver and encourage excellent customer service
- Promote and follow company initiatives
- Coordinate and organize merchandising of the department floor
- Implement period Merchandising bulletins, Point of Sale (POS), common lobby plans, and period planners
- Maintain compliance with corporate and divisional signing, planograms, ticketing, recovery, merchandising, fixtures usage and maintenance standards, folding/hanging, and stockroom standards
- Maintain compliance with corporate policies, safety guidelines, labor agreements, freight receiving/stocking standards, Replenishment Management System (RMS) updates/procedures, and shrink control guidelines
- Plan ads and store events; complete daily tours in the manager's absence
- Implement period promotions, point-of-sale plans, period merchandise notes, and manage planograms and merchandising of the department in the manager's absence
- Audit written distribution center returns and returns to suppliers; review Intersection Transfer reports and Callback/Return to Vendor (RTV) reporting in the manager's absence
- Verify pricing accuracy and follow up on price changes
- Authorize manager discretion markdowns and audit scan audits
- Maintain awareness of overstock/understock conditions and review daily/weekly sales
- Respond to customers' verbal comments, complaints, and requests
- Manage maintenance and repair needs
- Complete customer and associate incident/accident report forms
- Audit ads, salvage procedures, callbacks, and recalls
- Assist in the inventory process and perform clerk duties
- Manage all common associate areas (e.g., break rooms and training areas) to ensure they are inviting and reflect company values
- Coach associates in the performance of their duties; provide feedback to direct reports and the manager for performance reviews
Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain confidentiality
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks/projects
- Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes
Qualifications
- BA/BS in business or related field (desired)
- Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and organizational structure (desired)
- Management experience (desired)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Report Management and Distribution System (RMDS), and current company email (desired)
- CPR/first aid certification (desired)
- Experience directing or participating on a project team (desired)
