About the position

The Atrium Health Cabarrus Critical Care Team is actively recruiting an experienced, part-time Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. The APP will be expected to manage medical, surgical, cardiac, and cardiothoracic surgery ICU patients and attend and contribute to group/practice meetings, development of policies and procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program.
  • Licenses to practice as a NP or PA in North Carolina.
  • Prescriptive privileges and DEA license required.
  • BLS/ACLS for healthcare provider from AHA required.
  • Nurse practitioners are required to have a Master's Degree or Post Master's Certificate in Acute Care or Physician Assistants with certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred.
  • Current or pending CAQ certification preferred.
  • NP/PA or RN experience in ICU required.

Skills

Knowledgeable about the following procedures or willing to learn: Central Line Placement, Arterial Line Placement, and Intubation.
