About the role

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an App Developer (multiple positions open for a range of experience levels) to support a national leading aerospace and global security program. The role is fully on site in Herndon, VA and offers extensive opportunity for long‑term growth and career development as part of a team of highly accomplished Software Developers.

Responsibilities

• Apply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.
• Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software.
• Correct program errors, compile documentation of program development, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
• Ensure software standards are defined and met.

Requirements

• Active TS (Top Secret) or TS/SCI clearance — required.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in software engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in either front‑end or full‑stack development.
• 2+ years of experience with Java, React, Angular, and Spring Boot (highly preferred).
• Ability to work with XML.
• Proven experience in COTS/FOSS integration and support.
• Ability to troubleshoot and navigate multiple operating system environments including Linux and Windows.
• Bachelor’s degree.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with DevSecOps, Angular, or Kubernetes.
• Experience with geospatial data/engineering.

Compensation

Salary Range: $150,000–$195,000 depending on experience.
