Apollo Operator - A Shift

About the role

This position is tasked with the efficient and safe operation of different types of specialized extrusion equipment. This position is required to maintain accurate and legible production reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine set ups, changeovers, selecting dies and changing dies up to 10 per day
• Responsible for all quality related aspects of internal and industry (UL, NSF) specifications prior to shipping or being ran through any secondary processes
• Make line adjustments to ensure product is meeting internal standards
• Handle basic troubleshooting of the various extruders and auxiliary equipment
• Conduct daily preventative maintenance checks
• Elevate any issues to the Area Lead if not able to address them
• Be active in the Continuous Improvement program to help make the business more successful
• Prioritize daily activities and align actions to support overall function and business strategy
• Models Uponor values and behaviors and demonstrates peer leadership to engage diverse audiences through effective collaboration and influence
• In conjunction with leadership, provides input on individual performance objectives that are aligned with the functional and business strategy
• Safely operate computer-controlled equipment according to procedures
• Perform die (tool) changes, changeovers, in-process checks and adjustments
• Ensure quality standards are met by accurately using precision measuring devices to monitor pipe dimensions
• Perform necessary reel changes per written procedures
• Accurately and legibly record all required data on production report (hardcopy or electronic)
• Collect and submit quality samples as required

Pay

The expected compensation range for this position is $20.50-$27.22. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. Please note that this range represents the full base hourly rate for the role and hiring at or near the top of the range is uncommon to ensure room for future pay advancement.
