About the role
The APM Practice Lead will support the TFS Chief Product Officer (CPO) organization by designing and implementing application inventory management routines, focusing on quality, completeness, and integrity of application metadata.
Responsibilities
- Design and Implement application inventory management routines, application to capability mapping with EA, application criticality classification and rating, and application health assessment/rating.
- Define a data dictionary for application assets and effectively leverage the various existing SoRs as a reference and create a unified view of the application portfolio.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects/Principal Engineers for process designing.
- Ensure periodic Certifications by Application Owners for Data accuracy.
- Ensure data integrity between upstream and downstream systems respect to Application meta data.
- Conduct in-depth analyses of portfolio performance, identifying areas for improvement and potential investment opportunities.
- Manage risk, audit, and regulatory requirements, communicate and deliverables associated with APM and portfolio governance.
- Identify and assess APM compliance risks including outdated technology, lack of proper controls, or dependence on non-compliant vendors.
- Recommend and implement solutions involving retiring risky applications, implementing compliance controls, or selecting compliant vendors.
- Track the portfolio's compliance status and report it to relevant stakeholders, including compliance officers and senior management.
- Support Application Lifecycle Management governance routines.
- Develop strong partnerships with key stakeholders, including product managers, business leaders, and external partners, to ensure alignment of technology and business strategies.
- Work in cross-functional teams in strategic initiatives, fostering collaboration and driving consensus across diverse groups.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to advocate for the strategic value of technology investments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business or IT, or equivalent education and related training.
- 10+ years of leadership, enterprise technology and operation experience.
- Strong experience with IT strategy, portfolio management, Application Asset management and application lifecycle management.
- Ability to build Productivity tools - Vibe coding, Build PowerApps, AWS Kiro or similar tools.
- Expertise in strategic planning & view of enterprise initiative.
- Change management and organizational transformation experience.
- Program management & initiative planning & execution experience.
- Exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with executives.
- Knowledge of current and emerging IT trends, technologies, and best practices in portfolio and application management.
Preferred
- Preferred experience in top-tier relevant banking industry or large financial institution experience.
- Moderate understanding of enterprise technology stacks and hands-on experiences with technology strategic planning and architecture.
- Visionary thinking with the ability to anticipate future technology trends and their potential business impact.
- Strong negotiation and influence skills, able to advocate for technology strategies at the executive level.
