API Testing Consultant

Responsibilities

• Contribute to requirements elicitation by documenting assigned business requirements following provided guidance.
• Facilitate software application design discussions and document design decisions to guide the technical team.
• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications while maintaining system stability.
• Conduct code reviews, implement changes to the codebase, and maintain code repositories.
• Implement test strategies, analyze results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold software quality standards.
• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks for smooth software transitions.
• Actively resolve production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability.
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base.

Requirements

• Experience in API test automation using Vitest and TypeScript or similar open-source frameworks.
• Experience with API test automation using RestAssured.
• Knowledge of API testing, automation framework development, and maintenance.
• Understanding of the Life Insurance (Healthcare Payer) Claims lifecycle domain.
• Experience with Jira for test management and defect tracking.
• Experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD and automation execution.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution (or three years of progressive experience in the specialty for each year of education).
• This position may require relocation and/or travel to work/project locations.
• Candidates must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States without employer-based visa sponsorship (Infosys is unable to provide immigration sponsorship for this role now or in the future).

Preferred Skills

• Experience designing automation testing frameworks.
• Experience with Claude Code or similar AI-assisted automation tools.
• Experience with GitHub Copilot.
• Experience with WebdriverIO (WDIO).
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Java, HTML, and JSON.
