About the role

As an Apex Operator at our Stanley Black & Decker facility in East Longmeadow, MA, you will operate the APEX print machine individually or as part of a team in a demanding, fast-paced environment driven by deadlines and shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Select work according to priority.
• Operate, adjust, and maintain the Apex Machine.
• Perform quality checks and take appropriate action based on results.
• Report production data and any faulty equipment or materials to supervision.
• Move product between workstations or inventories.
• Troubleshoot machine issues.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and ensure cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team, including across shifts.
• Communicate problems, solutions, and other information to coworkers.
• Follow all safety guidelines.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or directed.
• Be versatile and willing to cross-train on other machines as needed.

Requirements

• Knowledge of general manufacturing travelers/routing and specification compliance.
• 1-2 years of experience preferred.
• Ability to work with numbers, including decimals.
• Light physical effort required, including lifting, pushing, or pulling 5 to 25 pounds.
