APD Claims Team Lead

About the role

Reserv is an insurtech company dedicated to automating claims processes through AI and automation. Founded by experienced professionals, Reserv aims to revolutionize the claims industry and set new standards for TPA services. This role involves leading a team of commercial auto claims adjusters, focusing on operational effectiveness and leveraging technology to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Serve as backup/leader when the Manager is out of office
• Responsible for having direct reports
• Responsible for initial onboarding tasks / access and new hire cultural immersion
• Serve as SME for first-line questions, escalations, and roundtable discussions
• Identify topics and trends to discuss in team Huddles and Elevated Claims Experience Workshops
• Gain increased reserve and payment authority with the ability to assist with moderate reviews
• Lead or co-lead by Team Leads, Managers, and other Reserv employees
• Work toward reducing and eliminating administrative work from an adjuster role

Requirements

• 5+ years of insurance claims experience in multiple lines of business, preference for auto with some bodily injury experience
• 3+ years of leadership experience, with a preference for remote management
• Prior team lead, supervisor, or formal mentorship/QA experience required
• Active adjuster license: resident-state license where available, otherwise a Designated Home State (DHS) license. Willing to obtain any additional required licenses within 60 days, including state testing
• Comfortable with technology and able to evolve claims systems and processes
• Demonstrated commitment to quality, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Integrity, ethics, and strong accountability in handling confidential and sensitive information
• Proven judgment on reserves, authority, and settlement strategy on high-exposure claims

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent industry experience, or professional insurance designations are a plus
