Apartment Maintenance Technician | MAA Legacy

About the role

Join us as an Apartment Maintenance Technician and perform general maintenance and repair to ensure apartment homes and other property facilities are in good working order. You will prepare apartments for move-in, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC units, electrical appliances, outlets, light fixtures, plumbing, carpentry, and locks. The role includes following a planned preventative maintenance schedule and following up with residents after repairs are complete.

Responsibilities

• Prepare apartments for move-in
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC units, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
• Maintain and repair electrical appliances, outlets, and light fixtures
• Perform plumbing, carpentry, and lock repairs
• Follow a planned preventative maintenance schedule
• Follow up with residents after repairs are complete

Requirements

• One to three years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, and/or mechanical repair
• HVAC experience required
• EPA Type II or EPA Universal certification required at hire or within 90 days of start date
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence
• Willingness to obtain Pool Certification within 90 days of hire (if applicable)
