Apartment Maintenance Technician (HVAC)

About the role

This multifamily apartment maintenance position focuses on HVAC systems while also handling general maintenance duties such as work orders, unit turns, and make‑readies. It is not an HVAC‑only role.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems in occupied and vacant units
• Prepare units for new residents (make‑ready/punch process)
• Complete resident work orders efficiently and professionally
• Repair major appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, and dishwashers
• Perform basic electrical and plumbing repairs
• Maintain community curb appeal and cleanliness
• Assist with renovation or property upgrade projects as needed

Qualifications

• EPA Universal Certification (required – no exceptions)
• Minimum 1 year of hands‑on apartment or multifamily maintenance experience
• Own personal tools and HVAC gauges
• Strong HVAC troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance skills
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliances, and unit make‑ready processes
• Ability to pass a background check
