Apartment Maintenance Technician- Battle Creek

What We are Looking For

• Skilled and dedicated Apartment Maintenance Technician
• Hands-on professional with strong troubleshooting abilities and a keen eye for detail
• Proactive approach to identifying and resolving maintenance issues
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently and follow direction
• Reliable transportation to get to work
• 1+ year of experience in apartment maintenance, facilities, or residential construction
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents, vendors, and team members
• Familiarity with basic repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC troubleshooting, and appliance maintenance
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Pay

$20-$24 per hour

Schedule

• 8 AM to 4:30 PM (hours may vary)
• Monday to Friday
• On call
• Weekends as needed

What You Will Be Doing

• Perform routine property inspections to identify and address maintenance issues proactively
• Complete resident service requests and work orders promptly and professionally
• Maintain property grounds by removing trash, leaves, branches, and other debris
• Support unit turnovers and make-readies, including painting, repairs, and cleaning as needed
• Assist in preventative maintenance efforts to extend the life of property systems and equipment
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and company policies
• Deliver notices and communications to residents as directed by management
• Participate in an on-call schedule for after-hours maintenance emergencies
• Perform additional duties as assigned
