Apartment Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a dependable, quality-focused Facilities Technician to join our team. The Facilities Technician is responsible for the prompt and efficient performance of all tasks assigned by the Community Director and/or Facilities Director, ensuring our communities meet the highest standards of safety, quiet, and amenities.

Responsibilities

• Manage all maintenance-related and capital improvement activities within an assigned property in collaboration with Directors.
• Inspect, schedule, and perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment as directed.
• Deal effectively with supervisors, residents, vendors, and co-workers.
• Satisfy work orders promptly and efficiently.
• Maintain working knowledge of HVAC systems, appliances (stoves, dishwashers, disposals, refrigerators), and familiarity with electricity, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Assist in the make-ready process of vacant apartments to prepare them for new move-ins in a timely and detail-oriented manner.
• Report to work at regularly scheduled hours and perform physical tasks, including walking the property (including stairs) and lifting heavy items.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of property maintenance experience (prior experience preferred).
• Must have own tools.
• Valid Driver’s License and dependable transportation are strongly preferred.
• Physical capability to perform a variety of tasks, including walking the property and lifting heavy items.
